Polyester Rainbow Thread
NEXUS Tex 90 bonded polyester thread uses a 280D/3 construction and is available in multiple colors. Current confirmed applications include footwear, outdoor sewing, automotive seating and automotive mats, with specific material and sewing requirements reviewed according to each project.
Internal tensile and elongation data are available for this specification. These test results apply to the tested samples and conditions and should not be treated as a universal guarantee for every application or production batch.
Uses and Application Guide
Tex 90 / 280D3 bonded polyester thread is one of the confirmed NEXUS polyester specifications. Thread selection should be based on the material, seam construction, required stitch appearance, needle, sewing-machine setup and actual application conditions.
NEXUS has documented application experience with this specification in footwear, outdoor sewing and automotive-related sewing projects.
Main Applications
Footwear: Confirmed application experience includes footwear sewing. The specific material, seam and machine setup should be reviewed for each project.
Outdoor Sewing: NEXUS has documented sales and application experience with bonded polyester thread for outdoor sewing. This application experience does not by itself verify a specific UV or weathering performance grade.
Automotive Sewing: Confirmed Polyester Tex 90 applications include automotive seating and automotive mat-related sewing.
Other Projects: Additional uses should be evaluated according to the material, Tex size, seam construction and sewing setup rather than assumed from the thread size alone.
Method of Use
Tested Tensile Performance:
Internal tensile and elongation data are available for NEXUS Polyester Tex 90 / 280D3. Test results describe the tested samples and conditions and should not be interpreted as a universal performance guarantee.Hand Sewing:For hand stitching, use a needle that can easily handle medium-weight polyester threads. Ensure consistent stitch spacing for a clean finish.
Threading:Ensure that the thread feeds smoothly without tangles through the machine or hand needle to maintain stitch quality.
Post-Sewing:Trim excess thread and secure the ends neatly to prevent any fraying or unraveling, especially on upholstery or commercial items.

UV, moisture, chemical, mildew and weathering performance have not yet been verified through dedicated NEXUS testing and should be confirmed separately when required by the project.- Application Range:

Multiple color options are available for this product. Color selection and custom-color requirements can be reviewed before production, and actual prepared products may be photographed for pre-shipment verification where applicable.
Multiple Color Choices
Multiple standard colors are available depending on the product and specification. NEXUS also supports custom colors with a minimum order quantity of 10 units and an additional USD 50 custom-color fee.
For custom color development, you can provide a physical sample, image reference or Pantone color reference. The standard custom-color lead time is 10 days. For urgent requirements, custom orders may be ready for dispatch on the third day after order confirmation.
Customized products are non-returnable. Please note that photography, lighting and screen settings may affect how physical thread colors appear online.
